In a groundbreaking initiative, the CAF Licence D Coaching course for female inmates commenced at the Nsawam Female Prison on Monday, January 27, 2025.

This pioneering program, organized by CAF Women’s Football in collaboration with the GFA Foundation, aims to support the rehabilitation, reformation, and reintegration of Ghana’s female prisoners into society.

The 8-day course, running from January 27 to February 3, 2025, includes 30 participants—25 female inmates and 5 prison officers.

Upon successful completion and passing of the final exams, participants will receive CAF-accredited Licence D Coaching certifications, a significant step toward empowering them with valuable skills.

The training is being conducted by a team of experienced instructors, including Madam Mercy Tagoe-Quarcoo, Joyce Boatey-Agyei, and Bernice Adutwumwaa, all of whom are certified CAF Women’s Football Instructors.

This initiative forms part of the CAF Football for Reform program, which seeks to equip female inmates with professional coaching certifications recognized by CAF. The program not only enhances their employability but also facilitates a smoother reintegration into society upon their release.
