Ghanaian international David Abagna Sandan received a warm and passionate welcome from FC Ordabasy fans following his official unveiling by the club.
Supporters turned up in numbers to show their excitement and love for the Ghanaian midfielder, who recently completed a permanent move from APOEL Nicosia in March.
The reception highlighted the high expectations surrounding his arrival in Kazakhstan.
The 27-year-old joins Ordabasy after nearly two years in Cyprus, where he gained valuable experience at the European level, and now begins a new chapter as he looks to make an immediate impact.
Abagna’s move also marks a return to competitive action after recovering from a long ACL injury, with the midfielder eager to rediscover his best form and justify the excitement among the fans.
The former Real Tamale United captain has also featured for Wa All Stars, AshantiGold SC and Al Hilal Omdurman, while earning seven caps for Black Stars.
With Ordabasy currently sitting second on the league table with seven points, Abagna will be hoping to repay the fans’ support with a strong debut when they face Atyrau later today, April 4.
