A high-energy performance by Ghanaian dancehall artiste Shatta Wale in Kumasi took an unexpected turn when an overzealous fan caused a brief commotion on stage.

The incident happened on July 19, 2025, during his live set at the Golden Dew Hotel, where he was performing his popular track Taking Over, featuring the SM Militants.

Midway through the performance, a visibly excited fan stormed the stage in an apparent attempt to reach the self-styled Dancehall King. While being pursued by security personnel, the fan collided with Shatta Wale, unintentionally knocking him to the ground.

A video circulating online captures the chaotic moment as security quickly restrained the intruder and removed him from the stage. Shatta Wale, who regained his footing almost immediately, took a moment to address the crowd.

Clearly unsettled, he voiced his anger over the fan’s actions, questioning what the outcome would have been had he suffered an injury. The Shatta Movement boss also didn’t hold back in his language, using strong words to stress the seriousness of the incident.

Despite the disruption, Shatta Wale maintained his composure and resumed the performance, drawing praise from some attendees for his professionalism in handling the situation.
