A devoted fan, Belson Poku, has honoured the memory of the late Ghanaian music legend Daddy Lumba with a striking forearm tattoo.
The detailed artwork, featuring a portrait of the highlife icon and the word “Legend” inscribed beneath, was inspired by a photograph of Daddy Lumba receiving an award while clad in a patterned shirt and a scarf emblazoned with the word “Awards.”
According to Poku, the tattoo serves as a personal and lasting tribute to the musician whose decades of timeless hits helped shape Ghana’s music industry.
“This is my way of keeping his memory alive and celebrating the legacy he left behind,” he said.
The gesture comes in the wake of Daddy Lumba’s passing on Saturday, July 26, 2025 — a loss that has plunged the nation into deep mourning.
Since the announcement, dignitaries, fellow musicians, and fans have visited his East Legon residence to offer condolences to the bereaved family.
