The family of the late former First Lady, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, has announced that her final funeral rites will be held on Friday, November 28, 2025, at the Independence Square in Accra.
Speaking at a press conference in Accra on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, Abusuapanin Oheneba Akwasi Abeyie said, “Burial and funeral of Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings is slated for Friday, November 28, 2025. Funeral activities will commence at 6 a.m. with the arrival of the cortege at the Independence Square, Accra.”

The family noted that the ceremony will be open to the public and will follow a simple but solemn dress code.
“The official attire the family agreed on is black. There will be no official cloth. The funeral is open to the general public. There will be no funeral service elsewhere after the service at the Independence Square,” Abeyie added.

Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, Ghana’s longest-serving First Lady, passed away at age 76 on October 23, 2025, at the Ridge Hospital in Accra.
