Fameye has admitted that Showboy’s support for his music has been significant over the years, but he is still reluctant to write a verse for the outspoken musician.
The Ghanaian singer explained that his hesitation comes from the fear that Showboy could appreciate the gesture today and insult him tomorrow.
Fameye made the comments in an interview on 4Syte TV while responding to Showboy’s request for him to contribute a verse to his music.

Reflecting on their relationship, Fameye described Showboy as a close friend who has played a role in promoting his work. He particularly recalled the support Showboy gave to his collaboration with Medikal, Addiction.
“Showboy has been very supportive when it comes to my brand. I had a song with Medikal titled Addiction, and at the time he pushed that song so much. It was all thanks to Showboy,” Fameye said.

When asked about Showboy’s request for a verse, Fameye did not completely shut down the possibility. However, he said he would need to consider it carefully because of Showboy’s tendency to make insulting remarks.
“As for his request to write a verse for him, I will think about it because he will later insult me,” he said.
Fameye also revealed that their friendship remained intact during Showboy’s time in prison. According to him, he continued communicating with the musician despite his controversial nature.
“Even when he was in prison, I used to speak with him. He’s a good friend, but you see, Showboy is also questionable. I can’t say everything because of his character. Even with this video that you have forced me to speak, he will insult me,” he said.
While Fameye appears wary of becoming the next target of Showboy’s online commentary, he made it clear that he does not overlook the support he has received from him.
The singer said he follows Showboy’s content and sometimes finds his provocative comments entertaining, although he believes the musician could tone down the insults.
“I really appreciate him. I see his content, and I love it. Sometimes his insults excite me, but he should reduce them. A very big thanks to him. He has really helped me. Big love for his recent comment about Gen Z,” Fameye further stated.
