Crafty southpaw Koki Inoue (18-2, 15 KOs), 147.5, showed a fine return to ring warfare as he impressively sank Russian residing in Vietnam, Mikhail Lesnikov (8-6-1, 3 KOs), 146.5, with a vicious body shot at 3:04 of the third round in a scheduled eight on Monday in Tokyo, Japan. Koki, 32, the cousin of Monster Naoya Inoue, coped with the stylish Russian in the first two rounds and caught up with him with a well-timed left uppercut to the liver, which became a haymaker.

Unbeaten minimum prospect Takero Kitano (8-0-1, 3 Ks), 105.5, decked IBF#5 ex-world title challenger Jake Amparo (l6-7-1, 4 KOs), 104.25, once in the first and twice more in the third, winning an important unanimous decision (80-69 twice, 79-70) over eight fast rounds. The hard-punching southpaw prospect Kitano is worth watching.
