ESPN star Dan Orlovsky has announced the ‘heartbreaking’ and unexpected death of his brother-in-law, Federico.
In a poignant social media post, the retired NFL quarterback-turned-TV analyst revealed that the ‘unimaginable tragedy’ leaves his sister without a husband and their three sons – Brayden, 18, Cameron, 16, and Colton, 11 – without a father.
No cause of death was immediately confirmed.
‘There are no words to describe the heartbreak of losing a husband, a partner, and a father so suddenly,’ Orlovsky wrote on X.
‘Our family is heartbroken, but we are so grateful for the love and support surrounding them during this unimaginable time.’
The 43-year-old also linked to a GoFundMe page that is raising money to help the family with ‘immediate relief’ and the three boys’ future.

At the time of writing, the page has received nearly 300 donations totaling more than $41,000 of its $75,000 target.
‘In the midst of trying to process this devastating loss, my sister is now facing the overwhelming reality of navigating life as a solo parent and a single-income household, all while helping her boys cope with the loss of their dad,’ Orlovsky continued.
‘No family should have to face this kind of heartbreak, and no one should have to worry about how they will manage financially while trying to put the pieces of their lives back together.’
According to a LinkedIn profile, Lascano worked as a VP for the financial firm, iCapital, before his death.
‘We are asking for your help in supporting my sister and her boys during this incredibly painful and uncertain time,’ the retired NFL star wrote.
‘Any donation, no matter the amount, will help ease some of the financial burden and allow them the time and space they need to grieve, heal, and begin navigating this new reality. If you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser and keeping our family in your thoughts means more than you know.’
