Marcellus Wiley’s estranged wife Annemarie reportedly called the police alleging a potential domestic violence restraining order violation by the ex-NFL star hours after criminal charges against him were dropped.

Court records filed on Monday and obtained by the Daily Mail show Wiley will not face domestic battery charges in Florida following an alleged altercation with his wife that saw him arrested on July 4.

According to the filing in Orange County state court, testimony is ‘not corroborated by any physical or other evidence’ and therefore the state of Florida is not filing criminal charges as it is ‘insufficient to obtain a conviction.’

TMZ now reports that Annemarie contacted police on Tuesday to report a possible violation of his restraining order, with officers responding to their marital home in Los Angeles.

The report claims Marcellus is banned from entering the property under the terms of the restraining order, but no arrests were made after police determined no crime was committed.

An arrest affidavit on July 4 alleged Wiley threatened to kill his wife in an Orlando hotel room and became physical with her in front of their children. Annemarie told police that Wiley stood over her on the morning of July 3 and ‘used one finger to sternly and intentionally poke her in the cheek,’ before threatening to kill her.

She was spotted in July for the first time since the shocking allegations became public and was not wearing her wedding band on her left ring finger.

The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star alleged in the filing seen by the Daily Mail that his abuse started back in 2012, including a number of incidents of physical violence and four alleged rapes. She was also seeking sole legal and physical custody of their three children, and an order denying Wiley visitation.

‘Marcellus subjects me to constant criticism, cruel and sarcastic remarks, and intimidation,’ Annemarie claims in the application.

‘His verbal and emotional abuse is constant, and his physical abuse occurs approximately once a month, and at times more frequently. I am afraid of Marcellus, and I fear for my own safety and for the safety of our children.’

Wiley wrote a lengthy statement defending himself, sent to The California Post, in which he called Annemarie’s allegations ‘lies’ and claimed he can directly contradict her ‘baseless claims’ with ‘videos, photographs, text messages, emails, and other evidence.’

‘I love my children with everything I am,’ Wiley said in the statement. ‘My highest priority has always been protecting them and preserving the relationship they have with both of their parents.

‘Because of the public allegations made against me by Annemarie, I have been forced to respond with evidence rather than emotion. More importantly, I owe it to my children to truthfully document what they and I have endured.’

‘As you know, I’m usually the first to break down the truth and separate facts from fiction,’ he added. ‘But because this is now a legal matter – and because my greatest responsibility is protecting my babies, who have already been impacted – I have to handle this differently. When I can speak freely, I absolutely will.’

Wiley is also facing sexual assault allegations from four accusers. The civil claims, filed in New York earlier this year, broaden litigation that began in 2023 when three women accused Wiley of rape during his time at Columbia University. No criminal charges have been filed, and Wiley denies the claims.

One of the new accusers is a former ESPN production assistant who claims she was lured into a hotel room under the guise of a work meeting by Wiley in 2009.

In a graphic written statement in the court filing, the former staffer claimed Wiley emerged from a bathroom naked and physically overpowered her, leaving her ‘petrified.’

The woman told the court: ‘He pushed me up against the windows of the room so hard I thought they would shatter. I was petrified and believed I was going to be killed.

‘I repeatedly pleaded with him to stop and to let me go. He would not. He pushed me face down on the bed and kept me there with my face pressed into the mattress in such a way that I had difficulty breathing, which made me fear for my life.

‘Wiley held me down and masturbated over me until he ejaculated. Only then did he allow me to leave the room.

‘This assault was devastating to me and I live with the affects (sic) to this day. I will never truly escape from that room,’ the former ESPN employee wrote.

Another of the latest accusers claims in the lawsuit that Wiley ‘groomed’ her from the age of 13 before raping her on her 18th birthday.

The unnamed individual alleged in the lawsuit that she was just 13 when Wiley first came into contact with her, after visiting her middle school in Buffalo, New York. The woman further claimed that Wiley, a player for the Buffalo Bills at the time, ‘showered her family with free tickets and invitations to his Orchard Park home.’

The accuser alleged that, on her 18th birthday, Wiley flew her to Dallas and ‘shouted at her in a frightening manner and coerced her into sex’.

‘Marcellus Wiley raped me on my 18th birthday, after grooming me from the age of 13, the alleged victim wrote in her account to the court.

Statements were also submitted to the court by two additional accusers alleging assaults in the late 1990s, including an attack in Culver City and a rape at a USC Hotel.

Wiley has consistently and vehemently denied all allegations, previously using his YouTube channel to dismiss the initial 2023 claims as ‘BS’ and fabrications.

‘For every one of them, I either saw, communicated through email, text, phone, was invited by these individuals after these dates to engage, to be intimate or all the above, after the dates that are in question,’ Wiley said on his podcast in May.

‘This matters. Why does it matter? Because it directly contradicts the narrative they are trying to present publicly.

‘They are attempting to leverage lies for personal gain, as they say, assassination by accusation, that’s their goal,’ he continued. ‘They trying by lying.’
