    Ghanaian international, Andre Dede Ayew says he is not thinking about retirement anytime soon after settling in well at NAC Breda and has received a huge backing from former Ghana FA vice president George Afriyie.

    The 36-year-old just joined the Dutch Eredivisie side and has already made five appearances for Yellow-Army with one start which came in their precious 0-1 away win at Heracles

    Ayew revealed in his latest interview that he still feels strong and motivated despite playing professionally for almost twenty years and isn’t thinking of retiring anytime soon.

    These comments made by the former captain divided opinions among the Ghanaian football faithful with many saying he shouldn’t return to the senior national team while others believe he still has the strength to be there.

    However, former Ghana FA Vice President George Afriyie, has backed Andre’s comments insisting no one can force him to hung his boot and should only to do so at his own will. He told Asempa FM in Accra;

    The two-time Presidential aspirant believes the former Swansea City and Marseille man has earned that right through consistency and dedication over the years.

    “Andre Ayew is still playing, and for me, nobody can force him to retire.”

    Andre Ayew is looking to continue playing consistently in order to make the Black Stars’ squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which comes in June and will be staged in the USA, Canada and Mexico.
