Some Ghanaian football fans have expressed outrage over the ticket prices for the Black Stars‘ match against Niger at the Accra Sports Stadium on November 18, 2024.

For the match, tickets are priced at GH¢10 for the popular stand, GH¢30 for the centerline, and GH¢300 for the VIP section.

Reacting to these prices, many supporters took to X to voice their frustrations, citing the team’s poor performances that led to their disqualification from the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

Some fans claimed they would not attend the match even if tickets were reduced to GH¢1 or entry was made free, arguing that the game would not impact the team’s failed AFCON qualification campaign.

This backlash comes after the Black Stars, under coach Otto Addo, failed to qualify for the tournament. Their recent 1-1 draw against Angola left them at the bottom of Group F with just three points from five matches—two losses and three draws.

Ghana’s final group game against Niger is now a formality, as their chances of qualification have already been extinguished.

Group F leaders Angola have already booked their spot in Morocco with 13 points, followed by Sudan with seven points and Niger with four points, leaving the Black Stars at the bottom.
