Ghanaian evangelits, Patricia Asiedua, popularly known as Agradaa, was visibly overjoyed after meeting former President John Dramani Mahama during the National Thanksgiving Day celebration.

This encounter has since gone viral on social media.

In a heartwarming moment captured on video, Agradaa was seen beaming with excitement as she hugged the president and expressed her admiration with a statement that left many netizens amused and intrigued.

“Even if I don’t go to Heaven, I’m okay—President Mahama hugged me,” Agradaa joyfully declared, drawing laughter from those around her.

The unexpected encounter has quickly lit up social media, with many users praising the president for his humility and warm demeanor, especially in his open engagement with public figures like Agradaa, who initially used all kinds of unprintable words on him prior to the last elections

“This is the kind of humility that wins hearts,” one social media user commented.

“Mahama is too down-to-earth. This made my day,” another added.

The National Thanksgiving Day celebration brought together leaders from various sectors—religious, political, and civic—to mark a moment of national reflection and gratitude.

But it was Agradaa’s emotional reaction and humorous remark that stole the spotlight.

While her statement may have been tongue-in-cheek, it underlined the power of public figures to uplift and inspire, especially in moments of national unity.
