Embarrassing scenes unfolded at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge on Saturday and ESPN commentator Kirk Herbstreit was not afraid to call out LSU fans on their behavior.

In the third quarter of the highly anticipated college football showdown, as the Tigers were being manhandled by Alabama, 21-6, fans began throwing bottles on the field.

While their performance was already shameful, the fans’ conduct added to the embarrassment. Their classless act delayed the game as they were headed toward certain defeat.

‘So idiots do this in Texas, and now all of a sudden, we see it popping up in college football,’ Herbstreit said as bottles rained onto Alabama’s end zone. ‘Enough’s enough, clowns. What are you doing?’

‘This is just stupid,’ he continued. ‘Just embarrassing to LSU. Embarrassing to college football and… just around the country. Enough’s enough.’

Herbstreit’s broadcast partner Chris Fowler also chimed in as the former ripped into the fans’ for the act.

‘These are water bottles, back in the day it would be other kinds of bottles. But now, it’s a copycat situation.’

The bottle-throwing would not save the Tigers as they lost the game, 42-13.

While Jalen Milroe had a slow night passing, making 12 of 18 attempts for 109 yards, he still led the Crimson Tide to victory by rushing for four touchdowns. He also ran for 185 yards in 12 carries.

Ricky Ortiz and Justice Haynes also recorded one touchdown each. The win improved Alabama to 7-2 and 5th in the SEC.

On the other hand, the Tigers lost their second straight game as they moved to 6-3 and 7th in the conference.
