Black Stars winger Ernest Nuamah has been named in football rating site WhoScored’s UEFA Europa League Team of the Week.

Nuamah earned his spot after recording a 9.66 rating following his brace in Olympique Lyon’s dominant win over FCB Bucharest in the Round of 16.

The Ghanaian forward netted twice in the 4-0 victory, helping Lyon advance to the quarterfinals with a 7-1 aggregate win.

Nuamah doubled Lyon’s lead in the first half with a brilliant finish inside the box after overpowering his marker.

He later put the icing on the cake, scoring the fourth goal for the home side by connecting with a cross from Georges Mikautadze.

Nuamah played the full 90 minutes and was named Man of the Match after an outstanding performance.

He had 58 touches, completed all four of his attempted dribbles, made three recoveries, and won five ground duels. He also struck the woodwork once and scored twice.

Meanwhile, Ernest Nuamah has been named in the Black Stars squad for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar.
