A woman, believed to be in her 40s, has drowned in a well in Bibiani, located in the Western North Region.
The incident occurred on Wednesday, March 12, 2025.
The victim has been identified as Mary Ansomah, a resident of the Praga suburb of Bibiani.
According to family members, Mary suffered from epilepsy and was fetching water from the well when she fell in.
Her lifeless body was discovered at the bottom of the well, prompting family members to contact authorities.
The incident was reported to the police, who collaborated with the fire service to retrieve the body.
The body has since been deposited at the morgue for preservation and autopsy.
