“Enough Is Enough” – Lil Win Slams Ghanaian TV Station for Airing His Movie Without Consent

Kumawood star, Lil Win, has publicly condemned a Ghanaian television station for broadcasting his 2024 hit movie A Country Called Ghana without proper authorization.

According to Lilwin, this undermines the hard work of Ghanaian filmmakers and the future of the local film industry.

In a strongly worded post on Instagram, the actor and producer expressed deep frustration after coming across a video on TikTok in which a fan proudly stated they were enjoying A Country Called Ghana for free from the comfort of their home, thanks to a local TV station.

Lil Win, born Kwadwo Nkansah, did not mince words in his reaction as he accused the unnamed television station of piracy, emphasising the damage such illegal broadcasts cause to Ghana’s already struggling movie industry.

“STOP PIRATING OUR MOVIES… This person watching this movie didn’t buy it to watch on Amazon Prime but is watching it free on a Ghana TV station,” he wrote in the caption of the reposted TikTok video.

He went on to warn that legal action might be the next course of action if such unauthorised
