Ghanaian TV presenter and entertainment pundit Sally Mann has expressed satisfaction with the recent actions of the Ghana Police Service against Bishop Salifu Amoako in connection with the fatal accident involving his son at East Legon on October 12, 2024.

The accident occurred when 16-year-old Elrad Salifu Amoako lost control of a car he was driving, colliding with another vehicle carrying two girls, Justine Agbenu and Maame Dwomoh.

The impact caused both cars to catch fire, resulting in the tragic deaths of the two girls, who were burned beyond recognition.

Following the incident, Bishop Salifu Amoako and his wife, Mouha Amoako, were arrested on October 15 and subsequently granted bail of ¢50,000 each.

Speaking on her show on Adom TV, Sally Mann referenced Salifu’s previous statement claiming he could drive without a license or number plate.

She commended the Inspector General of Police, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, and his team for taking decisive action by arresting Salifu.

“When he said that, I was expecting the Ghana Police to do something about it,” she said.

“What Dampare and his people did that made me happy is that they handcuffed the man. The Bible says there’s pride before a fall, and everything about that statement he made showed that he is very proud. So, I was very happy when Dampare and his team acted. Salifu can’t just say anything he likes without consequences,” she added.

According to Sally, “Even if it’s one night that you spent in the cell, it’s still on record. So, humble yourself.”

Meanwhile, Elrad Amoako appeared before the Juvenile Court on November 1, where the court ordered his remand and scheduled a reappearance for November 7.

The victims, Justine Agbenu and Maame Dwomoh have since been laid to rest.
