    Super lightweights Eric Hernandez (Ashburn, VA) and Helton Lara (Nicaragua) opened the show. Aftere a mostly one-sided pounding, Hernandez forced the ref to halt matters at 2:32 of round four. Hernandez moves to 13-2, 6 KOs, while Lara falls to 17-11, 9 KOs.

    Lightweight Deric Davis of Washington, D.C., ripped a vicious left hook to the body of Leandro Medina (Argentina), dropping him for the count at 1:06 of the second round. Davis stays perfect at 8-0, 8 KOs. Medina falls to 6-2-1, 3 KOs.

    Washington, D.C. born super bantam Ervin Fuller III took on Texas-tough Dominique Griffin. While Fuller looked to pick his shots, Griffin was slugging away. He rocked Fuller in the third, drawing some concern from Fuller’s corner as well as the partisan crowd. Fuller returned the favor in the very next round, finally dropping Griffin with a hard right in his own corner. A follow-up volley promted the ref to step in at 2:50 of the fourth. Fuller is now 11-0, 6 KOs while Griffin falls to 6-11, 2 KOs.

    Travon Marshall and Cameron Krael went the distance over six technical rounds. Each man had their moments, but it was Marshall who had more in his arsenal. The judges had it 60-54 and 59-55 twice all for Marshall, who improves to 12-1, 9 KOs. Krael plummets to 21-37-3, 7 KOs.

    Vienna, VA’s Jeffrey Yu and Nicaraguan Jerson Ortiz threw down in an exciting super featherweight clash. At first, it looked like it was going to be a short night for Yu, whoo had everything going his was at the outset. Then Ortiz rang Yu’s bell on several occasions in the second, surprising the local fighter. A sudden volley of blows from Yu dropped Ortiz in a neutral corner in the second, but he survived the round. A long discussion between referee Sharon Sands and Ortiz’ corner as the bell to start round three rang, ended with the corner asking for their fighter to not continue. The official time was :01 of round three. Yu moves to 8-1, 6 KOs. Ortiz falls to 17-11, 8 KOs.

    Jordan Roach, younger brother of WBA super featherweight champion Lamont Roach, took on Mexican Steveen Angeles Cruz in a scheduled six round super flyweight bout. It was over in the first as Roach unleashed a flurry of blows that caused Cruz to take a knee late in the round. A follow up attack forced another knee, this one with Cruz holding the back of his head, trying to intimatee that he’d been fouled. Ref Malik Walid wasn’t having any of it, as he reached the full count of ten at 2:45 of round one. Roach improves to 5-0, 2 KOs. Cruz drops to 7-19-1, 2 KOs.
