Super Bowl winner Alshon Jeffery has reportedly been arrested for insurance fraud.

The 36-year-old, who won the Super Bowl with the Philadelphia Eagles at the end of the 2017 season, was also arrested for conceal/fail to disclose insurance benefit or payment.

According to TMZ, he was booked in jail at around 8am on Wednesday and has now been released.

It’s claimed the insurance fraud charge is a felony and Jeffery could be facing up to five years in prison and/or a fine that’s double the amount of the fraud that was committed.

Jeffery was taken in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft by the Chicago Bears, where he spent five seasons before leaving for the Eagles. He was selected to the Pro Bowl in 2013.

In Super Bowl LII, Jeffery scored a 34-yard touchdown and made three catches for 73 yards as the Eagles defeated Tom Brady and Bill Belichick‘s Patriots 41-33.
