    Dzifa Gomashie meets all 13 heads of agencies under Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts

    The Minister of Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts, Abla Dzifa Gomashie, has met with the heads of all 13 agencies under the ministry, to engage them on their work and to chart a way forward.

    The meeting forms part of activities marking her assumption of office as the sector minister.

    The agencies include the Ghana Tourism Authority, Ghana Museums and Monuments Board, National Theatre of Ghana, National Commission on Culture, Ghana Tourism Development Company, Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, and the W.E.B. Du Bois Centre.

    The rest are Hotel Catering and Tourism Training Institute, Bureau of Ghana Languages, National Folklore Board, Pan African Writers Association, National Film Authority, and Creative Arts Agency.

    In the meeting held at the ministry in Accra, Dzifa Gomashie acknowledged their roles in promoting Ghana’s rich cultural heritage and vibrant creative arts.

    She also challenged them to collectively work to make Ghana a tourist destination, while whipping interest of Ghanaians for domestic tourism.

    These, she said, would bring revenue to the country.

    The minister also stressed the importance of preserving Ghana’s cultural heritage, promoting sustainable tourism practices, and providing opportunities for artisans, creatives, and local communities in the industry.

    She further impressed on the agency heads to leverage technology, innovation, and creativity to drive growth and development.

    She stressed the importance of teamwork and collaboration with other stakeholders to promote the sector.

    She further pledged her commitment to supporting and empowering them to excel in their respective roles.

    “I am excited to work with each of you, and I look forward to exploring ways in which we can collaborate to drive growth, innovation, and excellence in our respective sectors,” she said.

    The agency heads, on their part, thanked the minister for the interactive engagement and pledged their commitment to working closely with her to achieve her goals.
