Assistant coach of Dreams FC, Wilfred Dormon, has acknowledged his team’s poor performances so far in the 2024-25 Ghana Premier League season and urged his players to fight and return to their best form.

The 2023 FA Cup winners have struggled to replicate the success that saw them reach the semifinals of the 2023-24 CAF Confederation Cup.

With only two wins, five draws, and five losses in their first 12 games, Dreams FC sit 15th on the Ghana Premier League table with 11 points.

The team has managed to score just four goals this season. After back-to-back victories against 2023 champions Medeama and newly promoted Vision FC, fans hoped the team was turning their season around.

However, a disappointing defeat to relegation-threatened Karela on Sunday, November 24, 2024, has dashed those hopes.

In an interview on Max FM, Dormon admitted that Dreams FC have not met expectations following their impressive CAF Confederation Cup campaign.

He emphasized the need for the team to push themselves to regain their previous levels of performance.

“In terms of our results and performance, so far we have not been good enough. It doesn’t reflect our beliefs or way of doing things. It has been a topsy-turvy season, and we have to make sure we push ourselves and change our fortunes by the end of the first round. It is possible,” Dormon stated.

The team will now shift their focus to the MTN FA Cup round of 64, where they will face Heart of Lions as they aim to reclaim the trophy they won in 2023.
