    The Ghana Celebrity Impact Awards took place on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at the Accra International Conference Centre.

    It brought together the nation’s influential personalities, celebrities, companies, and organizations.

    The event celebrated individuals and entities that have made significant contributions to various fields, driving positive change and impacting lives in Ghana.

    Themed on recognizing and honoring impact, the awards ceremony showcased the best of Ghana’s creative, business, and social sectors.

    Awardees were recognised for their outstanding achievements in categories such as impact in sustainable agribusiness, food security, women empowerment and impact in quality management and leadership, among others.

    The event was a resounding success with attendees and awardees alike praising the organisers for their efforts in highlighting the importance of impact and responsible leadership.

    The Ghana Celebrity Impact Awards has cemented its place as a premier event in Ghana’s awards calendar, providing a platform for influencers and change-makers to shine.

    Congratulations to all the winners and nominees for their remarkable work and contributions to Ghana’s development.

    The Ghana Celebrity Impact Awards looks forward to continuing to celebrate and recognise the nation’s most impactful individuals and organisations in the years to come.

    The event was hosted by one of Ghana’s finest comedians, Foster Romanus.

    Dr Osei Kwame Despite, the CEO and Chairman of Despite Group of Companies, was adjudged as the “Most Impactful Ghanaian of 2024” at the Ghana Celebrity Impact Awards.

    This award is a testament to his tireless efforts in making a positive impact on Ghanaian society through his various philanthropic activities and projects.

    Philanthropic Activities and Projects:

    Ultramodern Child Cancer Care Facility: Dr Osei Kwame Despite has built a state-of-the-art child cancer care facility at the 37 Military Hospital in Accra, equipped with a hematology and physiotherapy ward, among other essential features.

    This facility has significantly improved the hospital’s capacity to provide quality care to children with cancer.

    Police Stations: He constructed ultramodern police stations in Tesano and Wiamoase, providing a safe and comfortable working environment for security personnel.

    Salt Mining Project: Despite’s salt mining project in Winneba, Central Region, has created employment opportunities for thousands of Ghanaians and contributes to the country’s economic growth.

    Media Companies: His media companies including UTV, Peace FM, Okay FM, Neat FM and Hello FM have created jobs for hundreds of Ghanaians and provide a platform for promoting Ghanaian culture and entertainment.

    Food and Beverage Production: Despite’s food and beverage production companies such as Antona Food Limited and Neat Foods Company Limited produce a range of products that are distributed across the country, creating employment opportunities and contributing to the nation’s food security.

    COVID-19 Relief Efforts: In 2020, Despite and his brother, Ernest Ofori Sarpong, donated $100,000 to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital to support the fight against COVID-19.

    Employment Opportunities: Despite’s various businesses and projects have created thousands of employment opportunities for the Ghanaian youth, both directly and indirectly.

    His media companies, food and beverage production companies, and salt mining project are just a few examples of his entrepreneurial ventures that have contributed to job creation.

    Impact and Legacy:

    Despite’s philanthropic efforts have had a significant impact on Ghanaian society, improving access to healthcare, education, and economic opportunities.

    His commitment to social responsibility and community development has set a positive example for other business leaders and entrepreneurs in Ghana.

    Auto Museum

    Despite Automobile Museum: Despite established Ghana’s first world-class automobile museum in Accra, showcasing over 60 top-grade, meticulously restored vehicles.

    The museum features classic Bugattis, Rolls Royce, Bentleys, Mercedes-Benz, Jaguars and Harley-Davidson motorbikes, as well as modern driving simulators.

    The museum aims to inspire, promote automotive heritage, and showcase Ghana’s creativity and innovation.

    The museum has become a significant cultural and economic landmark in Ghana, attracting tourists and car enthusiasts.

    Dr Osei Kwame Despite’s recognition as the “Most Impactful Ghanaian of 2024” is a well-deserved honour to his outstanding contributions to Ghanaian society.
