Legendary Ghanaian footballer, Abedi Ayew Pele

Popular Chelsea , Frank Khalid, received backlash on social media following a post he made listing the best team ever in African football.

In the post shared on his X page, the players who made the list included Nigerian goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama, Rigobert Song of Cameroon, Kalidou Koulibaly of Senegal, Kolo Toure of Ivory Coast, along with Yaya Toure and George Weah of Liberia.

The attackers included Mohamed Salah of Egypt, Sadio Mane of Senegal, Samuel Eto’o of Cameroon, and Didier Drogba of Ivory Coast.

In reaction to this, some social media users took to the comment section to express their outrage over why legendary Ghanaian footballer Abedi Ayew Pele was not included in the list.

They argued that Abedi won the African Best Player of the Year award three consecutive times as well as the UEFA Champions League trophy.

Others asserted that Khalid’s post was disrespectful towards Abedi Pele, who achieved incredible success in his footballing career.

Therefore, they called on the Chelsea fan to correct his post to include the legendary player.
