Media personality Teju Babyface, has stirred controversy online after sharing his unpopular opinion about cheating in relationships.

According to him, people who cheat should avoid confessing to their partners because, in his words, “telling your spouse is not honesty, it’s cruelty.”

He explained that instead of dumping the guilt on your partner, you should turn it inward, acknowledge that you are essentially still a good person, and simply change your actions without changing your character.

Tejubabyface advised that those who feel burdened by guilt should rather confide in a trusted friend, a priest, or a counsellor, instead of making their spouse carry that emotional weight.

His conclusion sparked heated reactions, as many people argued that honesty and transparency should be the foundation of any serious relationship, while others agreed with him that sometimes “the truth does more harm than good.”

@vogue_thrifts and more This is the most insane thing I’ve ever listened to in my life. If this is not enablement, I don’t know what word to use

@richt_gadgets This is a thought-provoking topic. How might Bible believers interpret the scripture that states, “It shall not be well with him that covers his sin”? Additionally, another verse encourages us to “confess to one another that you may be healed.” It would be interesting to explore the connections between these scriptures and their implications for personal growth and community healing.

@sweetchocolatebella I agree with this. While trying to be honest by confessing to cheating, you’re hurting your partner in the process. This only works if there’s no proof to work with.
