Ghanaian rapper and entrepreneur, Maradona Yeboah Adjei, popularly known as Guru NKZ, has hinted at a possible shift from music to the legal profession in the near future.
Speaking in an interview on Okay FM on November 3, 2025, the musician disclosed that he is considering a major career transition — one that may soon earn him the respected legal title, Esquire.
According to Guru, although music remains close to his heart, his ambitions are evolving.
“My dream is about to change, but I want to really be sure of it before I can publicly discuss it. I think things will go well bit by bit, considering where I went to get my knowledge, the switch wouldn’t be difficult,” he said.

He also shared that he has been quietly preparing himself academically and mentally for this new chapter.
Although he did not disclose timelines or institutions involved, Guru emphasised that planning is still ongoing.
“Don’t be surprised when you hear I’m addressed as an esquire in the near future. I’m on that path, but I’m still thinking and planning, so for now, I don’t want to reveal much,” he added.
