Showboy (L) fires Fiifi Pratt (R) for calling him a snitch Showboy (L) fires Fiifi Pratt (R) for calling him a snitch

2Hypegang boss and artiste Showboy lost his cool during a live interview with Fiifi Pratt on Aluta FM’s Afro Joint show after the host asked what he described as “stupid questions” about his alleged involvement in the arrest of Dada Joe Remix.

During the interview, Fiifi Pratt brought up claims circulating online that Showboy might have “snitched” on Dada Joe after he released a video warning that “fraud boys in Ghana will be arrested.” Pratt explained that because the video came out shortly before Dada Joe was picked up by the FBI, many people believed Showboy had informed on him.

However, Showboy was visibly upset by the suggestion and called out the host for failing to do proper research before making such claims. He emphasized that a journalist should be educated enough to read and understand the facts rather than repeat rumours.

Showboy explained that official documents related to Dada Joe’s arrest have been circulating online, showing that the authorities had been tracking him while he was serving time in prison. He questioned why anyone would connect that to him.

Fiifi Pratt tried to clarify that he was only asking for explanation because that was what people were saying, but Showboy was unconvinced. He told Pratt that as an educated person, he should have done his homework before asking such a question.

Showboy also made it clear that he does not take the word “snitch” lightly. According to him, in the gangster community, being labelled a snitch is dangerous and could even get someone killed. He warned Fiifi Pratt never to use that word on anyone again.

“For the Dada Joe case, didn’t you read the document? Sometimes you need to be educated enough to actually read and understand it, not just repeat what people are saying. That really gets me angry. You don’t just come and ask me stupid questions because of what others are saying. Calling someone a snitch is a serious thing.

“If you’re asking on behalf of people, then do your homework. If you look at the warrant that circulated, you’ll see they’d been looking for him for a long time. What does that have to do with me? Most people are uneducated; you should be the one to read the document properly and explain it to them,” Showboy said.

At one point, the 2Hypegang boss even threatened to leave the studio, saying such “stupid questions” were the reason he rarely grants interviews.

He concluded by warning all journalists in Ghana that anyone who plans to use the wrong words or spread misinformation about him should not bother inviting him for interviews in the future.
