Elon Musk weighing in on the conservative Republican 17,000 page report on the ‘weaponization’ of the federal government with a one word response.

‘Wow,’ the tech billionaire and close Donald Trump ally wrote on X about the release of the House subcommittee report on Friday, sharing a write-up with his some 200 million followers.

On Friday, the  House Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government released its final report on its findings about what it calls the ‘Biden-Harris Administration’s weaponized federal government.’

According to the subcommittee lead by hard-right Republican Congressman Jim Jordan of Ohio, the investigation found numerous instances where the government was weaponized against Americans.

The report highlighted a series of findings as the subcommittee carried out its work during the 118th Congress.

It argues that there is a ‘two-tiered system of government’ and accuses the Biden administration of making that system ‘more stark.’

The subcommittee wrote that its mission has been to ‘protect and strengthen the fundamental rights of the American people.’

‘By investigating, uncovering, and documenting executive branch misconduct, the Select Subcommittee has taken important steps to ensure that the federal government no longer works against the American people,’ it claimed.

The report said that the work is ‘not complete,’ but a ‘necessary first step.’

It states that during the Biden Administration, multiple agencies including the White House engaged in a ‘vast censorship campaign against so-called mis-, dis-, or malinformation.’

It lays out its findings that the federal government and law enforcement coordinated with academics, nonprofits, and other private entities to censor speech online.

One of the examples it gave was Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg writing a letter in August to the subcommittee where he said the Biden administration including the White House repeatedly pressured his team to censor certain COVID-19 content.

Zuckerberg wrote it was ultimately Meta’s decision on whether to take content down, but he wrote that he believed the government pressure was wrong.

The subcommittee also investigated what it called the weaponization of federal law-enforcement resources.

The report said many FBI whistleblowers disclosed examples of ‘waste, fraud, and abuse at the FBI’ to the subcommittee.

‘When these whistleblowers came forward, the Bureau brutally retaliated against many of them for breaking ranks—suspending them without pay, preventing them for seeking outside employment, and even purging suspected disloyal employees,’ the report read.

The report is broken up into four parts and totals 17,000 pages start to finish including its findings through appendix including hearing lists and transcripts.
