OAP Gbemi has stirred up discussions online after she posed a question to women who get pregnant repeatedly, despite suffering complications in previous pregnancies.

She was responding to a post by X (Twitter) user @Cyber0dance, who listed out various complications that some women claimed to have suffered during their pregnancy, asking what was wrong.

“”i lost my hearing during pregnancy”

    “i entered psychosis during pregnancy”

    “my ribs snapped during pregnancy”

Come abeg, what is the actual issue”

Commenting on the post, she questioned why women who have suffered serious complications from a pregnancy would still get pregnant, wondering if they do not love themselves.

    She asked,

“The people who do it multiple times with all these issues, are you ok? I understand the ones who have no issues but those of you who almost died the last time, why go again? Do you love yourself at all?”

Although her question sounded aggressive, it came from a place of concern, as a lot of women die during pregnancy, yet those who suffer from serious complications and manage to survive still risk their lives by getting pregnant again.

Her post has sparked discussions online, with many women speaking out about the pressures and societal expectations that prompt them to make such a decision.

    Some comments below,

@poshmoh I’m a mum, and I will say this.. it’s okay if you decide not to have kids .. it’s very okay.
