Popular Ghanaian comedian and media personality DKB has publicly taken on MTN Ghana, accusing the telecom giant of introducing a change in its Turbonet data bundle that he describes as suspicious and disappointing.

In a video that has gone viral across social media platforms, DKB—known for his bold humour and social commentary—voiced his frustration over the rate at which his data was depleting despite an apparent upgrade in bundle size.

“MTN Ghana, what’s the meaning of this?” he exclaimed in the now-trending video.

DKB explained that the previous Turbonet bundle of 92 gigabytes, which he said was part of a package introduced by Minister of Communications Ursula Owusu, used to last him six weeks to two months, even with heavy streaming habits.

However, he revealed that the new bundle, which now offers 214 gigabytes, shockingly ran out in less than three weeks, despite what he described as much lighter use.

“I just bought one less than three weeks ago—this is my second movie I’m watching, and it is finished,” he complained.

“The other one, I watched several movies and series—Squid Game, everything.

Now second movie I’m watching and then normal daily browsing on phone… how can 214 gig last for three weeks when 92 gig lasted for two months?”

DKB ended his rant with a direct call to action, urging MTN Ghana to offer a clear explanation:

“MTN please explain, because I don’t understand this.”

As of now, MTN Ghana has not issued an official response to the comedian’s claims. The issue is already sparking a larger conversation online about data pricing, efficiency, and accountability in Ghana’s telecom industry.

Hello @MTNGhana can you please explain why the previous small data of 92gb lasts over 2months but your new increased data of 214gb lasted only 18days?
