DJ Sly King, one of Ghana’s most consistent and beloved disc jockeys, recently marked a significant milestone in his career with the “Unstoppable Rave” celebration at Koforidua Technical University on Thursday, August 7, 2025.

The event commemorated his remarkable 15-year journey in the music industry, showcasing the power of persistence and dedication.

In an industry where careers can rise and fall overnight, DJ Sly King’s 15-year journey stands as a powerful example that consistency pays.

“The key has always been showing up, even when I didn’t feel like it,” reflects DJ Sly King. There were nights when I was tired and days when things weren’t going perfectly, but I knew my listeners were counting on me. That responsibility kept me going,” he said.

DJ Sly King’s journey from an aspiring DJ to the 2019 Ghana DJ Awards Event DJ of the Year winner demonstrates the power of reliability.

From YFM studios to international stages in the UK, USA, Dubai, Nigeria, Benin, Ivory Coast, and Togo, he’s maintained the same commitment to excellence.

His ability to seamlessly blend genres from Afrobeats and Hiplife to Hip Hop, R&B, House, Dancehall, Amapiano, and Francophone music shows that consistency means consistently evolving whilst staying true to core values.

The “Unstoppable Rave” featured an impressive lineup including Merqury Quaye, MC Tokyo, MC Trapper, DJ Wallpaper, DJ Ronky, DJ Holy Fire, DJ Seven, and Yeaboy. The event was powered by Watsup on Campus, Watsup TV, and Club Shandy, demonstrating strong industry support for this milestone achievement.
