Ryan Taylor (L) says DJ Cuppy (R) isn’t a woman enough to mother his child
Ryan Taylor, the ex-boyfriend of popular disc jockey DJ Cuppy, has stirred controversy online following a comment he made on social media after posting a photo of himself with his child.
On Father’s Day, June 15, 2025, Ryan Taylor took to Instagram to share pictures of himself with his child. In the post, the YouTuber and former boxer expressed a desire to address racial issues for the sake of his child.
“I’m gonna solve racism one black baby at a time. Happy Father’s Day!!!” he wrote.
Following the post, a fan commented that the child bore a resemblance to Ryan’s ex-girlfriend, DJ Cuppy.
In response, Ryan threw shade at Cuppy, stating that she wasn’t “woman enough” to mother his child.
“She wasn’t enough of a woman to even fathom creating such a beautiful creation like mine. Please leave and don’t come back,” he replied.
His comment quickly drew backlash on social media, with many users criticising his statements.
One user wrote: “You think it’s only Nigerians dragging you? See person wey be like tripod stand… As a Ghanaian, I don’t blame you. It’s Cuppy that settled for less. See nose like he supplies the whole of Accra with carbon dioxide. Banku feeling funky.”
Another user, Folu, added: “I literally blame Cuppy for settling for someone like you. She had no business pitying you enough to date you, but she did. You can’t even measure up to her. She’s driven, beautiful, educated, and talented.
It’s your loss, not hers. Also, your caption isn’t very sound, it’s actually extremely weird. Black babies don’t need to be ‘saved’ by you. Work on yourself first. Ojuelegba Mike Tyson.”
