Nigerian actor Ramsey Nouah

Nigerian actor Ramsey Nouah has shared his thoughts on how online streaming platforms have impacted the creative arts industry.

In an interview on OKAY FM on January 31, 2025, Ramsey Nouah acknowledged the ongoing complaints about how streaming services have negatively affected the movie industry.

However, he has urged creatives to find ways to overcome these challenges.

He emphasised that digitisation is a permanent shift, and creatives should stop complaining and adopt new strategies to promote their work.

“The world revolves, and that means nothing is permanent. Whether it is good or bad, it will change. So, with the world revolving, we will always find a way. Digital has come to stay, and there is no two ways about that.

“Whoever is trying to fight it right now does not understand that the world will change. So, the whole point is to find a bearing wherever you find yourself. Digitisation will stay, so people complaining should find a way,” he said.

When asked if he would consider entering any other industry besides acting, Ramsey Nouah stated that acting is the only thing he knows.

He also shared his thoughts on how more and more creatives are suddenly delving into politics.

“Apart from the film industry? Everyone is going into politics; however, I think if I try, I won’t last a week. They will kill me before my time. I don’t know how to be diplomatic, so I want things as they should be. Also, politicians are bloody liars. They will never tell you the truth because they can sell you and sell your soul.

“All of us can’t be on the front line; everyone can’t be on the stage because some of us have to be behind and clap. John Dumelo has been the number one liar before going into politics… Tell John I am in his country; he should come and arrest me,” he added.
