Sean ‘Diddy‘ Combs has been seen in prison for the first time since his arrest last year after being moved to a facility in New Jersey to serve out the remainder of his four-year sentence.
Photographs first obtained by TMZ showed Combs, 55, walking through the yard at Fort Dix Federal Correctional Institute during recreation time on Friday.
His once well-maintained beard is now gray and appeared rather untamed as he embraced the brisk autumn air.
The disgraced hip-hop mogul, who had previously not been seen by the public since his arrest in September last year, was also bundled up in a beanie and sweatshirt.
Combs is currently incarcerated at a prison located on the grounds of the joint military base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst following his conviction on two counts of prostitution.
It is not immediately clear when he was moved from the troubled Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, where he had been held since his arrest.
But the Bad Boy Records founder has already managed to secure a job in the prison’s laundry department, according to TMZ.

Combs’s lawyers had asked a judge earlier this month to ‘strongly recommend’ transferring him to the low-security male prison so that he could take part in the facility’s drug treatment program.
FCI Fort Dix, one of several dozen federal prisons with a residential drug treatment program, would best allow Combs, ‘to address drug abuse issues and to maximize family visitation and rehabilitative efforts,’ Teny Geragos, his lawyer, wrote in a letter.
Combs has already served about 14 months of his 50-month sentence and is set to be released from prison on May 8, 2028.
He can however earn reductions in his time behind bars through his participation in substance abuse treatment and other prison programs.
Earlier this week, Combs’s lawyers asked a federal appeals court to quickly consider the legality of his conviction and sentence.
The 55-year-old wants his appeal to be considered soon enough that he can benefit from a reduction of time spent in prison if the appeals court reverses his conviction, his lawyers said.
President Donald Trump has also said Combs had asked him for a pardon, though the Republican did not say if he would grant the request.

Combs was convicted in July of flying his girlfriends and male sex workers around the country to engage in drug-fueled sexual encounters in multiple places over many years.
However, he was acquitted of sex trafficking and racketeering charges that could have put him behind bars for life.
In a letter to the judge before he was sentenced, Combs said he has gone through a ‘spiritual reset’ in jail and was ‘committed to the journey of remaining a drug free, non-violent and peaceful person’.
Diddy’s defense has appealed both the conviction and the sentence, which could affect the date listed by the Federal Bureau of Prisons.
The date reflects the time the hip-hop star has already served in a notorious Brooklyn lockup.
Combs was acquitted by a jury in July of the most serious charges against him – sex trafficking and racketeering – but convicted of two counts of transporting people across state lines for prostitution.
Subramanian said he was bound by the law to deliver a sentence that met the gravity of Combs’s ‘serious offenses’ which he said had ‘irreparably harmed two women’.

Subramanian himself noted that the punishment he rendered was significantly shorter than the range probation officers had recommended, of 70 to 87 months.
He told Combs he was counting on him to ‘make the most of your second chance’.
Tearfully addressing the court before the judge handed down the sentence, Combs said he was ‘truly sorry’ for his actions.
Combs apologized to his family as well as his victims, saying his behavior was ‘disgusting, shameful and sick’.
Subramanian pointed out to Combs that his prison time was not lifelong.
‘You are going to get through this,’ the judge said to him and his family.
