Gospel musician Diana Hamilton has once again demonstrated her heart for humanity as she visited the Mamobi General Hospital to settle the medical bills of new mothers who were unable to return home due to financial constraints.
The benevolent gesture formed part of activities marking her children’s birthday on December 9.
Hamilton personally toured the facility to ensure that mothers who had recently delivered could be discharged without the burden of outstanding medical expenses.
Speaking to the media, the multiple award-winning singer explained that the initiative was inspired by both empathy and her deep personal connection to the hospital.
She revealed that she was born at the Mamobi Polyclinic, making the gesture a symbolic return to where her own life began.
During her visit, the gospel star prayed for the mothers, shared words of encouragement, and urged them to raise their children with love, care, and strong moral values anchored in faith.
Reflecting on the significance of the day, she said: “December 9, 2015, was a blessed day when I welcomed twins into the world. Every year, I make it a point to spend quality time with them, but this year, I’m focusing on giving back. I’m at Mamobi General Hospital helping to cover medical bills for children who are still in care due to financial challenges. I believe no child should remain in the hospital simply because their family cannot afford to pay.
“I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to do this in January and again in March in Sunyani, and I’m thrilled to have a friend who shares this vision and is supporting this year’s project with me.”
Hamilton paid an undisclosed amount to the hospital, ensuring that several mothers could be discharged and reunited with their families without financial worry.
The initiative highlights her enduring commitment to community upliftment and her passion for making a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable families.
Meanwhile, Diana Hamilton currently has a new single out, titled ‘Aha Ye’, featuring Ntokozo Mbambo and the legendary Elder Mireku.
The song is performing exceptionally well on radio, digital platforms, and social media, gaining significant traction.
This year, she also successfully hosted her annual Awake Experience in Accra, Kumasi, and Sunyani, climaxing with an outstanding edition in the United States of America.
