Ghanaian gospel singer, Diana Asamoah, has weighed in on the 15-year prison sentence handed to Nana Agradaa. She described it as part of God’s divine plan rather than mere coincidence.

In a video posted on Instagram, Asamoah turned her message toward Agradaa’s husband, Angel Asiamah, urging him not to despair over his wife’s incarceration.

“I want to tell Angel Asiamah not to worry. He should return as a transformed person. He is a great evangelist,” she said.

Asamoah expressed firm belief that the prison term is God’s way of molding Agradaa into a true vessel of faith.

“God has deliberately allowed her to be imprisoned, and it is for a purpose. God knows why He has separated her from her properties. When God calls you and you’re being stubborn, He has a way of humbling you,” she added.

She also issued a caution to others who claim to be divinely called yet act contrary to their supposed mission.

“To those of you who claim to be called by God yet are selling gari, and when I speak out you threaten my life, your time will come. Don’t worry.”

Nana Agradaa, born Patricia Asiedua, was convicted on July 3, 2025, of engaging in charlatanic advertisement and multiple counts of defrauding by false pretence. Her sentencing followed a widely circulated 2022 video in which she pledged to “double” cash offerings brought to her church in Weija.
