Gospel musician Evangelist Diana Asamoah clashed with Rev Nana Meshack during the recent edition of United Showbiz during a heated discussion about polygamy.

The segment, which was intended to explore biblical and cultural perspectives on marriage, turned tense after Rev Nana Meshack argued that both the Bible and traditional customs support men marrying multiple wives.

According to him, the scriptures indicate that “it is not good for a man to be alone,” and several biblical personalities, such as King Solomon and David, practiced polygamy without condemnation.

He went on to claim that men, including pastors, are permitted to marry more than one woman, revealing that he himself has three wives and lives peacefully with all of them.

Rev Meshack’s comments sparked a sharp response from Diana Asamoah, who accused him of misleading the public.

She insisted that the Bible does not support polygamy and that such teachings distort the true message of God.

The exchange grew personal when Rev. Meshack remarked that Diana Asamoah would have been married by now if she had accepted polygamy.

“If she had accepted polygamy, by now she would have a husband,” he bluntly stated during the show aired on Saturday October 18, 2025.

Diana Asamoah, however, dismissed that statement, explaining that her unmarried status is a choice, not a result of rejecting polygamy.

She stated that she does not want a husband, and even if the Reverend himself were to propose, she would refuse.

“It’s just me who doesn’t want to get married. You sitting there, if you come to me, I won’t accept you because I don’t like you,” he stated.

Reverend Meshack responded by saying he would never marry someone like her anyway, labelling her an “old woman.”

But Diana Asamoah took the jab lightly, stating that if being called old still comes with beauty, then she considers herself blessed.

“If you’re saying I’m old, then I must be a very pretty old woman,” she said, smiling.

The back-and-forth between the two continued for several minutes before the show’s host intervened to calm the tension.
