Sammy Gyamfi, the Ghana Gold Board’s troubled CEO, is said to have met with the Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, following viral footage of him handing out dollars to Patricia Oduro Koranteng, also known as Nana Agradaa—a former fetish priestess turned evangelist.

According to TV3’s presidential correspondent, Komla Klutse, who also serves as the National Communication Officer of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi arrived at the Chief of Staff’s office in the morning and remained in a meeting until 11:00 a.m. The journalist added that the administration is taking the matter “very, very seriously.”

According to a source acquainted with the conversation, Sammy Gyamfi apologized profusely for the incident. He stated that the government will decide on how to manage the situation in the coming days.

During his discussion with the Chief of Staff, Sammy Gyamfi expressed regret and appeared thoughtful. noted Komla Klutse: “But the Chief of Staff has listened to him, and we get the indication that anytime soon, the public will be informed of the decision of His Excellency the President, who himself is currently out of the country attending a summit of the African Union focused on the debt situation facing countries in the sub-region.”

Sammy Gyamfi has made news for donating approximately $800 to Patricia Oduro Koranteng, also known as Nana Agradaa. In a video posted on social networking platform X, Gyamfi is seen standing beside his Range Rover, taking a photo with Nana Agradaa, who has her arm around him while they converse briefly.

In another video at the core of the dispute, Nana Agradaa is heard making a statement to Sammy Gyamfi, causing him to unlock the vehicle’s rear door. He then sits down and begins counting many US dollars before giving her a chunk of the money. However, Agradaa appears dissatisfied and snatches all of the notes from Gyamfi’s hands.

Sammy Gyamfi later apologized for the event, explaining that he was simply helping out a needy person, like he often does.
