Ghanaian business mogul Osei Kwame Despite

A video capturing a moment of cultural reverence has sparked attention on social media following the launch of Osei Kwame Despite’s Automobile Museum on June 1, 2025, in East Legon, Accra.

The video captures the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, who attended the event as a special guest, being respectfully followed by Despite and a group of distinguished personalities as he exited the venue.

In a notable moment, Despite was seen kneeling before Otumfuo, a gesture widely interpreted as one of gratitude and deep respect for tradition.

Following the act, the Asantehene briefly interacted with him and other dignitaries present.

Meanwhile, the museum’s launch drew an impressive list of high-profile attendees from across Ghana, including business magnate Ibrahim Mahama, NDC Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketia, actor and politician John Dumelo, and several entertainment figures such as Kwaku Manu, Efia Odo, KOD, and Sarkodie.

The Despite Automobile Museum captures a stunning collection of vintage classics, cutting-edge supercars, and includes an interactive driving simulator designed to offer visitors a fully immersive automotive experience.
