Deliveroo has crashed causing Friday night takeaway chaos across the UK.
Hungry customers have been left frustrated by the outage which has stopped users ordering takeaway for more than an hour this evening.
In a statement shared on X, Deliveroo said that they are experiencing difficulties on the app and website but are ‘working hard’ to fix the issue.
The website and app outage has sparked Friday night takeaway madness for hungry customers across the UK with many now taking to social media to express their outrage.
One user on X said: ‘Ruined my Friday night. I can’t leave my house due to the weather and your app is down. I would really like some compensation.
Another furious customer commented: ‘Deliveroo over an hour I have been trying to order, I am outraged.’
While a third said: ‘Trying to order food. My partner is at work and I’m disabled and can’t get to the kitchen, would help to know when it’s up. Normally quite a good app but disappointed tonight.’
Customers are being redirected to an error screen when they attempt to order food by clicking on a restaurant or takeaway’s profile.

The error screen reads: ‘We’ll be right back. We’ll be taking orders again soon. Please check back in a few minutes.’
Many frustrated customers have demanded compensation from the delivery service for the delays.
The delivery service added that those who have had their orders disrupted can send them a DM with their account details.
One angry customer who contacted Deliveroo said: ‘I have dm’d you straight away and it’s now an hour and nothing has changed and I’ve heard nothing. Horrible service as usual!’
Other customers have said they will be using other takeaway service providers such as Just Eat and UberEats for the Friday night dinner.
