Hollistar Duah-Yentumi handig over to the new SIC Managing Director

The Managing Director of SIC Insurance PLC, Hollistar Duah-Yentumi, has officially handed over leadership to her successor, James Agyenim-Boateng.

At a ceremony held at the company’s Head Office in Accra, she noted that SIC Insurance PLC recorded GH¢513 million in revenue for 2024, marking a 37.48% increase from the GH¢373 million generated in the previous year.

President John Dramani Mahama announced on January 27, 2025, that James Agyenim-Boateng would succeed Hollistar Duah-Yentumi. However, she initially rejected the appointment and filed a lawsuit on February 4, 2025.

Hollistar Duah-Yentumi argued that her four-year tenure, set to expire in 2028, had been wrongfully cut short without due process.

“Under and by virtue of the agreement, the Plaintiff’s tenure as Managing Director is for a period of four years, expiring on the 1st day of January 2028 or soon thereafter as may be agreed upon by the Board of Directors of the 1st Defendant and the Plaintiff,” part of her suit read.

She sought full payment of her salary and benefits for the unexpired term.

However, a few days later, Hollistar Duah-Yentumi withdrew her lawsuit.
