Dede Ayew made his long-awaited debut for NAC Breda on Saturday, January 10, 2026, as the Dutch side secured a vital away point in a hard-fought draw against Groningen.
The 36-year-old forward came off the bench in the 57th minute, replacing Moussa Soumano, and went on to play 33 minutes as Breda battled to hold on for a valuable result.
Ayew, who had been without a club since leaving French side Le Havre in May 2025, showed flashes of his experience and composure during his time on the pitch.
He was rated 6.8 for his performance, a solid return on his first outing in Dutch football after several months away from competitive action.
The former Black Stars captain joined NAC Breda on a short-term deal that includes an option for another season, and his arrival comes at a crucial time for the club.
Breda are currently 17th in the Eredivisie standings, having collected 14 points from 14 matches, and are battling to move away from the relegation zone.
