The Ghana Football Association has officially confirmed the three clubs promoted to the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season following the conclusion of the Division One League campaign.
Debibi United FC became the final club to secure promotion after defeating Tamale City FC 3-1 in the Zone One playoff final at the Accra Sports Stadium on Wednesday.
The playoff was organized to determine the overall winner of the zone after the completion of Zones One A and One B. Debibi United produced a remarkable comeback victory, inspired by a first-half hat-trick from Kwadwo Antwi, to seal historic qualification to the topflight for the first time.
In Zone Two, fast-rising FC AshantiGold 04 secured promotion after an impressive campaign, while Port City FC also earned qualification from Zone Three following a series of consistent performances throughout the season.
All three clubs are set to compete in the Ghana Premier League for the first time during the 2026/27 campaign, marking a major milestone in their respective histories.
Meanwhile, the ongoing Ghana Premier League season is now just two games away from completion, with Medeama SC edging closer to the league title.
The Mauve and Yellows need only one more victory to officially be crowned champions heading into this weekend’s fixtures.
