The 2025 Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) is fast approaching, and tensions are already running high as industry stakeholders campaign for their preferred artists.

A heated online exchange has erupted between entertainment critic and event MC, David Portfolio, and media personality Vida Adutwumwaa, who currently serves as the PR manager for Burniton Music Group and their leading artist, Stonebwoy.

At the center of the controversy is the coveted Artist of the Year (AOTY) award, with Portfolio advocating for King Paluta, while Adutwumwaa fiercely defends her boss, Stonebwoy.

What makes the situation more intriguing is that David Portfolio was one of Stonebwoy’s most vocal supporters for the same award last year.

However, this time around, he has switched camps, firmly rooting for King Paluta to clinch the prestigious title in May.

The online clash began when David Portfolio posted a letter addressing Vida Adutwumwaa directly.

In his post, Portfolio accused Vida Adutwumwaa of unfairly tearing down King Paluta instead of objectively analyzing the facts.

He said that he has never disrespected any brand while campaigning for an artist and called on Vida to engage in healthy discourse rather than attacking his preferred nominee.

Vida Adutwumwaa, in her response, did not hold back.

She dismissed Portfolio’s argument and said that she never insulted anyone as Portfolio is trying to claim.

She also pointed out that Portfolio claim that Bhim Nation’s top officials are upset over his support for another artist is not true and that during their discussion he does not even make it to the AOB.
