Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy bashed Beyonce’s Christmas Day performance on Wednesday as the pop star performed at halftime of the Texans-Ravens game.
The ‘Texas Hold ‘Em’ singer rode in on a horse in her first performance since October 2023 – but Portnoy – famously a huge Taylor Swift fan – didn’t like what he saw.
‘Beyoncé has been LOST since Destinys Child,’ he wrote on X, mentioning the pop group she used to be a part of with Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams.
Beyonce left the group in 2006 as she went on to carve out a massive career as a solo artist.
Portnoy was not the only one to dislike the singer’s display, as several fans took to X to express their disapproval.
‘I genuinely find Beyoncé f*****g awful and fail to understand how anyone else sees it any other way,’ one said.

‘Y’all might not agree, but Taylor Swift and Beyoncé make bad music,’ another chimed in, insulting one of Portnoy’s favorites in the process.
‘That Beyoncé performance was trash,’ another added.
However, plenty others sung the praises of the 32-time Grammy winner.,
‘Honestly can’t get enough of you,’ Serena Williams wrote, tagging the singer.
‘Beyonce killed it!,’ former NBA player Kendrick Perkins and current ESPN analyst said.
And the official NFL account deemed it the ‘best Christmas ever.’
The show also marked the first time Beyonce performed songs from her latest album, Cowboy Carter, live.
Beyonce, who has performed at two Super Bowls in her career, had several ‘special guests’ from her Cowboy Carter album join her on stage as previously revealed by Netflix.
The singer brought out the likes of Shaboozey and Post Malone for the performance.

Beyoncé’s halftime show during the Texas-Ravens games was also her first performance since husband Jay-Z was accused of rape, with a lawsuit accusing the music mogul and disgraced rapper Sean ‘Diddy‘ Combs of raping a 13-year-old girl at an MTV Video Music Awards after-party in New York in 2000.
Jay-Z strenuously denied the allegations, and a lawyer for Diddy, who is currently awaiting trial and behind bars on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy and transportation to engage in prostitution, also denied the accusations.
Beyoncé knew the eyes of the world were on her during as she performed at halftime of the NFL’s Netflix Christmas doubleheader and brandished a finger-gun gesture that put social media in ablaze.
By making the gun gesture with her left pointer and middle fingers high above the NRG Stadium turf in her hometown of Houston, social-media users were tongue-and-cheek about an NFL player doing the same.
‘Would just like to note that Beyoncé is doing the double gun gesture which is banned in the NFL and a 15 yard penalty,’ one NFL said.
Beyoncé made the finger gun at the conclusion of her flashy halftime performance at the end of her country hit ‘TEXAS HOLD ‘EM’, where she was lifted from the temporary stage to high in the air in the middle of the huge stadium.
During the first half of Netflix’s NFL doubleheader, Kansas City Chiefs stars Travis Kelce and Xavier Worthy were both given 15-yard penalties for touchdown celebrations.
Beyoncé’s Christmas show was her third major showing at halftime of an NFL game.
She was the solo headliner for the Super Bowl halftime show in 2013 and was a special guest alongside Bruno Mars during Coldplay’s Super Bowl show three years later.
