Ghanaian referee Daniel Nii Ayi Laryea has been appointed Assistant Video Assistant Referee (VAR) for a high-profile CAF Champions League clash between AS FAR and RS Berkane.
The encounter is scheduled for April 11, 2026, at the Complexe Sportif Prince Moulay Abdallah in Rabat, with kickoff set for 20:00 GMT.
Laryea’s selection places him among an elite group of match officials chosen for the crucial fixture, underlining his growing reputation on the continental stage. The officiating team will be led by Mauritanian referee Dahane Beida, assisted by Jerson Emiliano Dos Santos of Angola and Elvis Guy Noupue Nguegoue of Cameroon.
Tunisia’s Haythem Guirat will serve as Video Assistant Referee, with Laryea supporting in the role of Assistant VAR. Other officials include commissioners, assessors, and coordinators from across Africa.
