German-born Ghanaian international Daniel-Kofi Kyereh made a long-awaited return to action after over three years on the sidelines, featuring for SC Freiburg II in their 4-1 win over Eintracht Trier in the Regionalliga Southwest.

The 30-year-old came on as a substitute and quickly made an impact, providing an assist to cap off an encouraging comeback performance.

The mercurial midfielder has been out of action for an extended period due to injury, but recently resumed recovery and is now gradually working his way back to full fitness.

Kyereh, will be hoping to build on this return and force his way back into the senior team setup at Freiburg in the coming weeks.

With the 2026 FIFA World Cup on the horizon, Daniel-Kofi Kyereh will also be aiming to regain top form and push for a place in the Black Stars squad.
