Ghanaian forward Daniel Adu Adjei continued his fine run of form after finding the net in HNK Rijeka’s convincing 3-0 victory over Vukovar 91 at Stadion HNK Rijeka.
Adu Adjei opened the scoring in the 41st minute, latching onto a low cross from Mladen Devetak before calmly slotting the ball past the goalkeeper to give Rijeka a deserved lead heading into halftime.
The striker was a constant threat throughout the encounter and played a key role in Rijeka’s attacking dominance. Adu Adjei recorded the highest number of touches inside the opposition penalty area with nine and also finished the match with a game-high five shots.
Rijeka maintained control after the break and doubled their advantage early in the second half through Stjepan Radeljic, who converted a delivery from Justas Lasickas.
Substitute Toni Fruk sealed the emphatic win in stoppage time after finishing another assist from Devetak.
The Croatian side dominated proceedings from start to finish, outshooting Vukovar 17-7 while limiting the visitors to just one shot on target.
Adu Adjei’s latest goal continues an impressive campaign for the Ghanaian attacker, who has now contributed six goals and three assists in 25 league appearances this season as Rijeka continue their strong performances in the Croatian top flight.
