Family of Daddy Lumba (R) is seeking the removal of Abusuapanyin Kofi Owusu (L)
A large section of the family of late Ghanaian highlife legend Charles Kwadwo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, has demanded the removal of their family head, Abusuapanyin Kofi Owusu.
In a video shared on TikTok and sighted by GhanaWeb on February 26, 2026, family members who met with the Chiefs of Parkoso outlined several reasons for seeking his removal.
According to them, Abusuapanyin Kofi Owusu has tarnished the reputation of not only the late Daddy Lumba but also the entire Parkoso family.

Citing the late Daddy Lumba’s funeral ceremony as an example, Mama China, spokesperson for the elderly women calling for Kofi Owusu’s removal, noted that he buried the highlife legend without involving the singer’s first wife or elder sister.
The family further revealed that, to this day, they do not know where the late musician was laid to rest.
“We summoned him here before the Chiefs, but he didn’t show up. We all know that in Ashanti tradition, women are responsible for enstoolment. Since we installed him, we are equally demanding his removal,” she said.

Mama China further stated that the family has given Abusuapanyin Kofi Owusu a two-week ultimatum to appear before the Chiefs of Parkoso and respond to their questions or face the consequences.
“We have given him a two-week period to appear before the Chiefs on March 11, 2026, to answer our questions or face the consequences,” she added.
