Nana Romeo (L) debunks an alleged letter from Lumba’s children
Media personality Nana Romeo has dismissed a circulating press statement allegedly issued by the children of late Highlife legend Daddy Lumba and his wife, Akosua Serwaa, describing it as fake and urging the public to disregard it.
In a video shared on Caleb Nii Boye’s official Facebook page, Nana Romeo addressed the controversy surrounding the document, which surfaced online on October 15, 2025.
The statement in question, reportedly signed by Daddy Lumba’s daughter, Charlyn Fosuh, claimed that the musician’s children had distanced themselves from their mother’s legal action against their father’s family and Odo Broni.

However, Nana Romeo asserted that the letter was fabricated and did not originate from any of Daddy Lumba’s children.
He emphasised that none of the children had released any public statement or press document related to the ongoing family dispute.
“There is this information going around on social media concerning the letter which states that Daddy Lumba’s children with Akosua Serwaa distance themselves from their mother’s court injunction. I am telling you to disregard that false information,” he said.
He further mentioned that the children had not written or signed any such letter, labeling the viral post as baseless.
“I want you to disregard it. There is no truth in it. Daddy Lumba’s children have not written any letters and released them publicly. Everybody should understand that there is no truth in the information that has gone viral,” he added.
The statement in question appeared on several social media pages, including the official platforms of the late Daddy Lumba and controversial media personality Afia Schwarzenegger.
It claimed to represent the joint stance of three of the musician’s children with Akosua Serwaa.
In the alleged document, the children distanced themselves from their mother’s decision to seek legal action against Odo Broni, family head Victor Kofi Owusu Banahene, and Transitions Funeral Home.
The letter stated that their “only wish” was for their father to be buried with the honour and dignity he deserved.
The supposed press statement surfaced after Akosua Serwaa accused her rival Odo Broni, of negligence in her late husband’s death and requested an investigation.
She also filed a court injunction seeking to halt the scheduled funeral arrangements for the Highlife legend, which is planned for December 6, 2025, at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
