Ernestina Fosu has disclosed the number of children Daddy Lumba had

Ernestina Akosua Brimpomaa Fosu, elder sister of the late Ghanaian highlife legend Charles Kwadwo Ofosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, has revealed the number of children her brother had before his death and the number of women he had them with.

In an interview on UTV’s United Showbiz, she said the family felt the need to clarify the issue to prevent misinformation and speculation about Lumba’s life. According to her, the musician had 11 children with four different women.

“My brother gave birth to 11 children with four women. Two of the women are now married to other men. Some of the children are in Canada and they are older. Some of the children are still in school. Until his demise, he used to send money to his children in Germany,” she said.

‘They’re fighting over his properties without knowing how he died’ – Lumba’s sister

Ernestina also shed light on the ongoing court case involving Lumba’s legally wedded wife, Akosua Serwaa, and the family.

She explained that Akosua Serwaa has taken legal action to be recognized as the only woman permitted to perform the widowhood rites, in line with cultural tradition.

“Akosua Serwaa told the family at a meeting that she wanted to be the only woman who would perform the widowhood rites as demanded by culture. As for me, I did not see anything wrong with her request because I know her as my brother’s legal wife. They wanted to do the funeral without me, Akosua Serwaa and his children who are abroad,” she revealed.

When asked why she is demanding to know the cause of Daddy Lumba’s death, Ernestina explained that there have been too many conflicting stories surrounding his brother’s passing. She said she wants clarity before the family proceeds with the burial.

“For someone like Charles, he cannot die just like that. He is my brother, and his death has really affected me. We used to do everything together. However, when he passed people were just thinking about his properties. I need to know the actual cause of death before we bury my brother,” she stated.
